The Nuremberg-based IT company offers a rentable, modularly configurable
Workplace-as-a-Service.

With its new partner my Workplace, Viking is expanding the portfolio of its new business services segment to include the rentable, modularly configurable Workplace-as-a-Service (WaaS): In addition to everyday office supplies, customers at Viking can now also purchase their IT workstation, consisting of hardware and software as well as hosting and support from my Workplace GmbH. Users throughout Europe adapt the complete packages to their individual needs and receive an IT workstation that is ready for use within 48 hours.

With the rentable IT workstation, the complete lifecycle management for IT workstations can be outsourced – from configuration of the required hardware and software components to provisioning, hosting and support. Users benefit from cost control, flexibility and the reduction of internal efforts for the IT infrastructure.

The individual workstation at the push of a button

The complete IT packages are suitable for small businesses and medium-sized companies and consist of hardware and software as well as an encrypted backup solution in the company’s own data center. Whether entry-level, mid-range or high-end package: The various modules can be configured online according to the respective requirements. If the IT packages offered do not fit the customers’ personal needs, they can also put together an IT solution individually. Customers select the components such as PC, monitor, mouse and the required software etc. with a click of the mouse, and the workstation is then implemented and put into operation within 48 hours. In addition, my Workplace takes care of integrating the employee’s email addresses and setting up the VPN connection, which allows all services of the professional network to be used from home or on the road. Data protection and data security are also ensured thanks to reliable data centers in Germany.
